General Information: Originated in Japan at the Aomori Exp. Station in 1930. The Shinsei apple was named in 1948. The Shinsei is a cross of a Golden Delicious and an Early McIntosh. The Shinsei is a medium sized, round, greenish-yellow fruit with a fine grain, white flesh that is very sweet, scented, crisp and juicy.
